People don’t always think about getting a referral from an Agent they know, like & trust when it is time to buy or sell especially if they are in a different state than where the transaction is happening. Doing this can save you a lot of heartache and potential loss of $$$.
Experience & deep local knowledge are critical to having successful, happy outcomes when buying or selling. Property values, buyer behavior, and inventory can vary street by street, especially here in St Petersburg, FL.
For years I have been developing relationships around the country with high quality, trustworthy, “can get it done” agents that I trust. This became important recently when a close family friend needed to sell her mother’s house. She lives out of state and the house was far enough away, I wanted a hyper-local, successful agent to take the listing.
The family’s financial planner HIGHLY recommended a realtor to her. Of course I had to check her numbers. The recommended realtor is a lovely woman, but she only sells 5 properties a year. My recommended agent, knows the community like the back of her hand and SELLS at least a 100 properties a year.

On the flip side someone who knows me and how I do business reached out asking me to represent a listing that had come his way. He is an agent but he was the appraiser on the property and knew that created a conflict of interest. He also knew I sell a lot of listings (really well) and would get this property sold for his client.
Both transactions were about people in life transitions. I am happy to say we had successful outcomes in both situations!!! My heart is happy knowing that my friend was represented so well and the sale helps the family with the care of their mom.
